Student Quality Ambassadors (SQA) – Student Nursing Times Awards 2021
The Student Quality Ambassador Project (SQA), was nominated for Partnership of the Year (The SQA Project) and Student Experience of the Year (University of Chester) at the Student Nursing Times Awards 2021 (SNTA).
As Administrator for the project, I was delighted to be invited to attend along with Yvette Heatley (former SQA Lead), Julie Dulson and Kate Knight from the University of Chester. Also invited to represent the SQA Project was one of the SQAs from Edge Hill University and her Health Education Institute (HEI)/SQA Lead and one of our SQAs from Cumbria. It was great to meet up with them in person for the first time.
The event was held at the impressive Grosvenor House Hotel in London. On arrival we were shown up to the drinks reception, (dress code was smart and there were some amazing outfits to be seen). An enjoyable lunch followed, served in the Great Room where the awards ceremony was to be held. Then came the excitement of the Awards and waiting to see if the SQA Project and University of Chester had won their category. Unfortunately, this year it wasn’t to be but I was proud to be there to support the SQAs. Maybe next year?
